Media Moms Club Hosts 'Mom Prom' to Benefit Alex’s Lemonade Stand

In their continuing efforts to raise funds and awareness for the battle against childhood cancer, members of the MOMs Club of Media are inviting ladies 21 and older to attend their first MOM Prom on Saturday, April 28, from 7 to 10 p.m. at Barnaby’s 5501 Pennell Road in
Media, PA 19063.

While many proms require ball gowns, this event will encourage attendees to wear “date night” attire in order to dance the night away for a good cause.

The festivities of the evening will include the crowning of a “Prom Queen,” who will receive a special gift from Currie Salon in Glen Mills. Other prizes will be available through raffles, and of course there will be dancing, food, drinks and fun.

Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door. Tickets include buffet, beer, wine, bottom shelf liquor, dessert bar, and entry into the Prom Queen raffle.

For more information, or to purchase a ticket, email: info@momsclubmediapa.org

The MOMS Club® is an international organization designed to offer support to stay-at-home and work-at-home moms. In addition to hosting frequent kid-focused social events during the week, the MOMS Club of Media, PA also offers play-group coordination, community volunteering/charity work, once monthly nights out just for moms, and occasional events for the whole family.

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) emerged from the front yard lemonade stand of cancer patient Alexandra “Alex” Scott (1996-2004).

In 2000, 4-year-old Alex announced that she wanted to hold a lemonade stand to raise money to help find a cure for all children with cancer. Since Alex held that first stand, the Foundation bearing her name has evolved into a national fundraising movement, complete with thousands of supporters across the country carrying on her legacy of hope.

To date, Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, a registered 501(c)3 charity, has raised more than $50 million toward fulfilling Alex’s dream of finding a cure, funding over 200 research projects nationally.
