Patrolman Robert Brown received the 2010 Police Officer of the Year John Davidson Memorial Award. The award, given regardless of rank, was presented to him by Nancy Niemiec at the Feb. 17 Media Borough Council meeting. Brown thanked his family and his parents. He said it is an honor and privilege to be part of the Media Borough Police Department.

Our family sends our congratulations and appreciation to Officer Brown for his contributions to our community. One of the essential reasons why Media thrives as a socially vibrant yet emotionally relaxed community is because of the care, concern and vigiliance of the Officers of the Media Police Department. They are the around the clock guardians of our community. They are trusted and they are appreciated. Thank you for being there for all of us!!
