The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Light the Night Walk: Philadelphia is This Weekend!
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society will be hosting this year's Philadelphia Light the Night walk this Saturday, October 27th, at The Philadelphia Art Museum at Eakin's Oval. The walk is an evening filled with inspiration. During the two mile leisurely walk, participants carry illuminated balloons. Survivors will carry white balloons, red will be carried by supporters and gold wil be carried in memory of those who lost their lives to cancer.
Michael Bream of Media will be walking again in Light The Night with his friends and family members in honor of his nephew, Kurtis Hoy. Kurtis was diagnosed with Leukemia when he was a year old and passed away three years later. Bream will also be participating in the head-shaving ceremony along with five other volunteers who agreed to have their heads shaved in memory of a loved one.
