Halloween Parade Rescheduled for Sunday

WPVI-TV meteorologist Cecily Tynan will kick off Sunday's parade, which begins at 2 p.m.

 

UPDATE: Due to possible cold and wet weather on Saturday, the Media Halloween Parade has been rescheduled for Sunday.

Floats, antique cars, school bands, scouts, and hundreds of locals in costumes will be just some of the sights at Sunday's Delaware County Halloween Parade, which will be kicked off by WPVI-TV meteorologist Cecily Tynan. This is the parade's 47th year in Delaware County.

School and community groups from across the county will be participating in Saturday's event, according to a press release from parade coordinator, Town Talk Newspapers.

, Strath Haven and Chichester High School Bands, the Chichester Alumni Community Band, , Paxon Hollow are some of the bands that will keep things lively, and The Pennsylvania Historical Car Club and the County Corvette Club will be sending some antique cars down State Street.

That's in addition to floats, clowns, girl and boy scouts and dozens of community groups who will be participating. Parade sponsor Bryn Mawr Trust will host a celebration in front of the bank at 22 E. State Street, along with co-sponsor Crozer Keystone's Media Medical Plaza.

The parade will begin 2 p.m. Sunday, at the Field, located at State and Edgmont Streets. From there, the parade moves west on State Street, north on Orange St. and east on Front Street, back to the school field.
