Veterans Day 2011 in Media was commemorated by Vice President Joe Biden and his wife, Dr. Jill Biden, visiting Delaware County. After the parade kicked off at 11:11 a.m., both Bidens addressed the crowd. Their speeches were in conjunction with the 52nd-annual Media Veterans Day Parade, which you can read about here.
"Unlike other generations of warriors, (recent veterans) have walked into hell not once, but too many of them have done it two, three, four, five times... It's one thing to do it once, it's another to do it time and time and time again," Biden said in front of the courhouse.
"This is not Generation X—it's Generation Excellent."
