A Mediterranean restaurant will soon be a new addition to Media's State Street.
Signs have gone up for Desert Rose, boosting mediterranean cuisine and market, on State Street just off of Orange Street.
Desert Rose will open at the former Selene Whole Foods location at 305 W. State Street, which closed only a few months ago.
Desert Rose will join Diego's, Spasso and Zen Nail Salon and Spa as new businesses continue to pop up all over Media Borough. There's no bad economy here.

that's great, but to be honest.....I have NEVER seen it take sooooo long to open new restaurants as it has to get Spasso and Diego's open....geez....seems like we have been waiting forever!

It is marvelous to see how Media is becoming such a diverse restaurant town. Great food, great customer-focused service, fair pricing, community-minded management, all will spell success in Media and encourage folks to choose Media for their dining destination instead of Center City, the Mainline or elsewhere.

As the Chef and Owner of Desert Rose we are very excitied to bring a new style of cuisine to my hometown of Media. We are shooting to be open by the begining of March maybe even sooner. We will be specializing in Mediterranean Street food with an emphasis on Morocan and Israeli cuisine. We will also be bringing the 1st Chef's table to Media a private 8-10 top available on Friday and Saturday nights. One table and the restaurant is yours for the night! See you all soon!
