Middletown Presbyterian Church will formally install a new pastor on Sunday.

will formally install a new pastor on Sunday.

Pastor Douglas W. McPheeters was warmly welcomed by everyone in attendance at Middletown Presbyterian Church in July when he delivered an inspiring sermon, and was voted upon and joyfully accepted by the congregation.

McPheeters once served at Middletown as director of youth and Christian education during the early 1990s, while completing his seminary degree. From there he was ordained and served at a church in West Chester for three years, and then, briefly on leave from the ministry, earned his Masters Degree in Clinical Counseling at Eastern College. While working in private practice, he continued as a part-time Parish Associate in a Wilmington, Del. church, teaching, preaching and ministering to all ages. He has been continually involved in every aspect of the Presbyterian life—from hands-on mission work, to program development for children, teens and adults, as well as serving at the executive levels of the Presbytery, itself.
