Question: What are some fun fall activities for the kids, of all ages?
Answer From Momʼs Councilmember Kristy O'Connor (mother of 2):
My 3 year old is a big fan of painting. In the fall we like to go to Linvilla Orchards and we'll pick out a couple small pumpkins. We bring them home and let her go nuts painting them and making a big mess. Of course, I always use waterproof paints. We also have fun with collecting leaves. On our way home from the park we'll try to collect as many colors as possible. I keep a tally of colors for her and we try to get more then the last time.
Answer From Momʼs Councilmember Robin Fradkin Matthew (mother of 1):
Of course, there's the classic Linvilla for apple picking, hayrides, bonfires, and pumpkin-picking. But there's also a fall hike in Ridley Creek State Park (to collect leaves to later press and iron between wax paper or do leaf rubbings), Friday Fall Crafts at Joann Fabrics, and cheap(ish with coupons online) October weekends at Sesame Place before it closes for the season at the end of the month.
