Police: Body Found in Park is Missing Delco Woman
The body of a missing Delaware County woman has been found in Ridley Creek State Park.
The body of a missing Delaware County woman has been found in Ridley Creek State Park, according to Pennsylvania State Police-Media Barracks.
The woman's body, which was found in the park Saturday afternoon, has been positively identified as Teresa Cathy Mastracola, of Millbourne, State Police announced Sunday evening.
A cause of death has not yet been determined but foul play does not appear to be associated with the death, according to State Police.
Mastracola, 44, had been missing since Dec. 2. As an avid biker and hiker she was known to frequent Ridley Creek State Park.
She was last seen by her roommate as she left the house wearing hospital scrubs the morning of Dec. 2, according to 6ABC.
Mastracola's vehicle, a silver 2006 Mazda 6, four-door sedan with Pennsylvania Tag DTA-5563 and with a black bike rack attached, has not been recovered.
Anyone with information regarding the location of the vehicle is asked to contact Millbourne Police at 610-352-1450 or State Police at 484-840-1000.
Mastracola worked as an Imaging Equipment Specialist at Delaware County Memorial Hospital and was a Master Sergeant with the National Guard, according to 6abc.com.

Something just dosn't seem right to me, Where is her car? if she went hiking and fell or something her car would still be in the park. And who goes to the park to hike or ride a bike is scrubs. What part of the park was she in that it took so long to find her? Just seems strange to me.

@Connie, I'm sure all of those questions will be answered. If you have those questions, so do the police. You should have become a detective. In regards to the scrubs, maybe she changed after work at the hospital and went right to the park? Maybe she fell and landed in a remote part of the park? I just pray the woman didn't suffer. I pray for her family & friends.

Isn't this a site to post your opinions? I'm sure Connie's questions are the same as the police....to say she should have become a detective was not very nice.....

Don't we all make up stories to fill in what we don't know and what is not reported on here. As a Master Sargent, it is likely she had been deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan as part of her National Guard service. I wonder if we are actually reading about another fallen warrior, not somebody's Christmas being tarnished by a story they would rather not have read. There is an unfunded war going on and people worry about how it effects their Christmas spirit - I find that sad. I will pray for Teresa and all our military.

Actually, the autopsy results have been published and it was determined that the cause of death was chemical asphyxia. At the bottom of the article above there is a link for an update to the story.
