Penncrest High School and Springton Lake Middle School students learned the rewards of giving back to those who are in need recently.

Throughout December, Giving Trees were set up at the two schools and Media Presbyterian Church with wish tags, asking for assistance with certain items or gifts this holiday. The 157 wish tags quickly disappeared from the trees as people chose them and delivered gifts to the schools for distribution to the wish tage families, who are all local residents.

Springton Lake Guidance Counselor Allison Harrison and Penncrest High School Teacher Jessica Anderson organized the large event and the Rose Tree Media School District thanks them for coordinating the efforts in their respective buildings.
