Media's hometown comedian tells philly.com she enjoys splitting her time between Media and L.A.
Media's resident comedian Wanda Sykes tells philly.com that she enjoys splitting her time between L.A. and Media. Media is so small of a town compared to L.A. that she even knows the Media Police officers. "I know most of the police officers in town," Sykes, tells philly.com, "Not because I've been arrested, but because it's a small town." Sykes is performing at the Borgata in Atlantic City, N.J. on Friday and Saturday. Read more about her love for Everybody's Hometown here on philly.com.

Highway billboards will show the pieces and invite tipsters.
FBI officials announced Monday they know who committed one of the biggest art heists in history, but they still need the public's help to locate $500 million worth of missing artwork, some of which they believe is in the Philadelphia area. The heist, which happened at Boston's Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in 1990, led to the theft of 13 works of art by by Rembrandt, Johannes Vermeer, Govaert Flinck, Edgar Degas and Edouard Manet. Two thieves dressed as Boston Police officers infiltrated the museum, tied up the guards, and stole the artwork, according to the FBI. And for many years, that's where the case went cold. But thanks to a tip that came in in 2010, 20 years after the theft, FBI officials now believe the stolen artwork may be in …

'Silver Linings Playbook' scored big in Delco Sunday night but not so much at the Oscars
The Llanerch Diner, where one famous scene of the film Silver Linings Playbook was shot was packed to capacity Sunday night. The legally allowed limit of 80 patrons at one time watched, waited and was prepared to celebrate eight Oscar wins with champagne toasts. In the end only one of the eight nominees took home a statue. Jennifer Lawrence took home the Academy Award for Best Actress, in part for the acting work she did at the Llanerch diner one fall evening back in 2011. In a night that saw Oscar gold spread among many of the nominees, no single film dominated. That includes Silver Linings Playbook. That didn't damp the enthusiasm at the Llanerch or down the street at Cawley's Irish Pub on West Chester Pike in Upper Darby. More Oscar …
