Audition For Shark Tank: Get Your Business Funded

The Emmy-nominated show for entrepreneurs is holding a casting call in Philadelphia Saturday.

  A nationwide talent search for the fifth season of the entrepreneurship reality series Shark Tank is coming to NextFab Studio in Philadelphia on Saturday, and 500 area residents will have a chance to get on the show to pitch investors for funding.  “Whether you just have a fantastic idea, are a start up or already operating successfully and looking to expand, if you feel you have a lucrative business or product and could use financial backing, then Shark Tank is just the show for you,” according to the ABC show’s website. Budding entrepreneurs will have a chance to offer a one-minute pitch to a member of the show’s casting team on Saturday at NextFab Studio, at 2025 Washington Ave., and some will be selected for more in-depth video …

Cousins Bring Cupcakes to Media Farmers Market

Get to know one of the creators of Twelve Baskets, a new cupcake company from Wynnewood, selling Asian-inspired cupcakes at Town Hall Coffee in Bala Cynwyd and the Media Farmers Market.

A local favorite, Town Hall Coffee Co. in Bala Cynwyd, has expanded its menu recently by adding cupcakes. Twelve Baskets, a newly found cupcake company from the home of two Wynnewood residents, is putting a twist to the ever-popular sweet treat with Asian-inspired flavors. Patch gets to know one of the co-owners of this fairly new cupcake company as they also bring their delicious treats to Media Farmers Market.
