Constituents waste no time weighing in on Congress.
In a statement issued earlier this week, Sen. Bob Casey (D-PA) said he is "optimistic about 2013."

U.S. Representative Patrick Meehan (R-PA7) is now officially a second-term Congressman. Meehan, who lives in Drexel Hill and who represents parts of Delaware, Chester and Montgomery Counties, took the oath of office during swearing-in ceremonies on Capitol Hill Thursday afternoon. "It is my honor to serve the people of the 7th congressional district for a second term," the Facebook posting reads. "Every day, I appreciate the great privilege that it is to represent the voice of our district in Congress. Our country is facing many great challenges indeed, and there is much work ahead for the 113th Congress." Meehan, a GOP moderate, voted in favor of the so-…

Democrat Bob Casey is Media Patch's choice in U.S. Senate and Republican Pat Meehan for U.S. House of Representatives in Pennsylvania 7th Congressional District.
Voters in the Media Patch area were split in their votes for President of the United States. Nationally and in Pennsylvania, President Barack Obama was re-elected to a second term but here in Media Patch the votes weren't so simple. Media Borough and Upper Providence Township voted to re-elect Obama but Middletown and Edgmont townships voted for former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney as their pick for President in the November election. (All four of these municipalities had 100 percent of machines reporting by 1:30 p.m. Wednesday). Delaware County, which has a large Republican population, voted to re-elect Obama with 165,206 votes, compared to Romney's 105,450. Note: As of 3 p.m. Wednesday, all 861 machines in Delaware County …

A top campaign aide calls the win one bright spot in a disappointing night for GOP in DC.
Republican Incumbent Congressman Pat Meehan of Drexel Hill (Upper Darby) (R-PA7) easily defeated Democrat Challenger George Badey of Radnor to win a second term in the U.S. House Tuesday. Meehan held an nearly 2 to 1 margin in Delaware County to retain the seat he won during the historic GOP victories of the 2010 Obama mid-term elections. The Republican momentum was not with the national GOP Tuesday night, prompting one top Meehan Campaign official to call his victory as "at least one bright spot in an otherwise disappointing night." During his victory speech Meehan told a ballroom full of supporters at the Springfield Country Club that his focus during his second term will be on jobs. Meehan cited his work to save the gasoline refinery …

"Percentage wise". Interesting. Did you pay millions to this country for the, um, giveaways? Do you have a charitable organization? Is "liberally happy" just a euphemism for ... dumb? As for that "open-minded and tolerant", are you sure that even those who are not registered at all, are not "open-minded and tolerant", let alone the GOP? nona, I think, you think, you know too much.   more ›
