On Sunday, August 19, check out the 7th Annual Beef & Beer to benefit Tug McGraw Foundation. It runs from 1 to 7 p.m. at The Plumstead Inn.
We’ve lined up fabulous entertainment, auction and raffle prizes, a full buffet, and more! Just a few highlights to look forward to – live performances by the Broozers, Dave Stone “The Johnny Cash Experience,” Scott “Scotty” Paynter, and Becca Calabrese.
The silent auction and raffle prize selection is bigger and better than ever. This year, we have dozens and dozens of items, including Phillies vs. Mets tickets, Phillies, Eagles, Flyers, and Sixers memorabilia, Media Theatre tickets, wine and liquor baskets, passes to many local attractions, restaurant gift certificates, and so much more.
Guests are sure to have a good time, and most importantly you’re helping to raise money for brain cancer patients. In fact, since Tug lost his battle with brain cancer in 2004, this annual event has raised $70,000 for the foundation formed in his honor.
So, come one, come all! Spend a few hours with us, have a blast, and help us raise money for a good cause!

The Plumstead Inn is located in the heart of Media, PA. This restaurant and bar has been serving the community since the '60s. The menu includes various appetizers, soups, salads, hot and cold sandwiches, burgers, chicken, seafood, steak, and surf & turf. They have a kids menu available, as well as outdoor seating and takeout options. The bar is a popular local hangout known both for its friendly bartenders and regulars, and for its cheap drink specials.
