Springton Lake Middle School Veterans Day

Springton Lake students continue to shine and foster a positive image of our school throughout the community. Most recently, students at Springton Lake were featured as part of the Veterans Day festivities and parade that was held in Media. Our 8th grade band, under the direction of Mr. Alan Reno, performed very well in the parade and showcased their musical talents. Three of our sixth grade students in Mrs. McLeod’s classes – Kerry Peyton, Jon Choi, & Conner Axelrod – each read an essay that they had written for the 2013 Veteran’s Day Essay Contest sponsored by the Delaware County Intermediate Unit. In this countywide competition, Kerry, Jon, and Conner swept the field by earning first, second, and thirds places, respectively. All in all, Springton Lake was well-represented at the Veterans Day festivities!
