46 Parishes Under Archdiocese Scrutiny

The Archdiocese of Philadelphia is taking a close look at 46 parishes including 13 in Delaware County to see how viable they are going forward.

Mergers could result after the Archdiocese of Philadelphia examines 46 parishes in Bucks, Montgomery, Philadelphia and Delaware counties to determine their sustainability, according to a Philadelphia Inquirer report.

The parishes in Delaware County are:

  • Holy Spirit
  • Sacred Heart
  • St. Eugene
  • St. Joseph
  • Our Lady of Fatima
  • Our Lady of Peace
  • Our Lady of Perpetual Help
  • St. Gabriel
  • St. George
  • St. Madeline
  • St. Margaret Mary Alacoque
  • St. Rose of Lima
  • Notre Dame de Lourdes
The parishes in Montgomery County are:
  • Mother of Divine Providence
  • Our Lady of Mount Carmel 
  • Sacred Heart 
  • Sts. Cosmas and Damian 
  • St. Augustine 
  • St. Gertrude 
  • St. Mary
  • St. Matthew
  • Queen of Peace 
  • St. David 
  • St. John on the Cross 
  • St. Luke the Evangelist 
The parishes in Philadelphia are:
  • Holy Spirit
  • St. Charles Borromeo
  • St. Edmond
  • St. Gabriel
  • St. Monica
  • St. Richard
  • St. Rita of Cascia
  • St. Thomas Aquinas
