Chalk Art Commemorates 9/11

A memorial flag was created from chalk on the Plum Street Mall in remembrance of Sept. 11, 2001.

The Media Borough community came together to honor and observe Sept. 11 by creating a large chalk flag on the bricks of the Plum Street Mall.

The idea was conceived of by Diana McGinley, and executed by Keith C. Johns (who was primarily responsible for the artistic direction) and Brian Sammond (who helped with the design and technical details).

Children and the community were then invited to help in coloring in the flag with chalk.
