Get Out: Halloween Parades, Parties, and Philadelphia Eagles

It's a ghostly Halloween weekend in and around Media Patch this weekend. See what's going on.

The weekend before Halloween is filled with fun fall things to do. Get those costumes ready and attend Media or Linvilla Orchards Parades, hit a Halloween Party or if sports is more your thing, head to Edgmont and meet a Philadelphia Eagle.

Media Borough Halloween Parade

  • When/Where: Saturday, October 27, at 2 p.m., along State Street in Media Borough
  • Why Go: The 48th Annual Halloween Parade of ghosts and goblins will be lead by 6ABC meteorologist Cecily Tynan and march to music played by Penncrest and Springton Lake bands along with other Delaware County school's bands. Fire trucks, antique cars and plenty of costumes will fill the streets. The parade begins its route at Barrall Field and follows down State Street to Orange Street and on to Front Street. Rain date is 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 28.

Halloween Parade at Linvilla Orchards

  • When/Where: Sunday, Oct. 28 at 3 p.m. at Linvilla Orchards
  • Why Go: Makin' Music will host this costume parade and there will be prizes for Most Original, Cutest and Funniest costumes. WMGK's Debbi Calton is the celebrity guest judge. Then be sure to stop by and pick up all you can carry pumpkins for $19.99 and take an Annie's Homegrown Pizza Tour.
  • Cost: Parade is free but please register here.

Meet Philadelphia Eagle Jason Kelce

  • When/Where: Friday, Oct. 26 from 6 to 8 p.m., at Videon Chrysler Dodge Jeep, 4951 West Chester Pike in Edgmont
  • Why Go: Come out and the center for the Philadelphia Eagles Jason Kelce. Prizes and a game jersey will be awarded to one lucky fan.
  • Cost: Free

Media Music's Spooky Halloween Parade

  • When/Where: Saturday, October 27, at 3 p.m., at Media Music, 32 W Baltimore Ave, Media
  • Why Go: After the Halloween Parade head to Media Music Studio for a party. Music, dancing, prizes and spooky fun for the little ones. 
  • Cost: Free
