In past years, the Media Recreation Board has held an Easter luncheon in the community center, immediately following the hunt, but because the community center is booked for a wedding on March 31, the Recreation Board has decided to hold a separate egg hunt and the luncheon, the day before Easter, said Paula Tenaro, Media recreation office manager and secretary.

The Media Recreation Board Annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held at 10 a.m. on April 7, rain or shine, Tenaro said.

The hunt will take place in the tot lot playground at 3rd and Monroe streets, next to , unless it rains, in which case the hunt will be moved inside to the community center, Tenaro said.

About 500 eggs will be scattered, and children will be designated to the following age groups: ages 1-4; ages 5-7; and age 8 and up, Tenaro said.

Following the hunt, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., there will be a free luncheon in the community center, featuring the Easter Bunny, a children’s craft and free hotdogs, Tenaro said.
