Orange St. to Close for Repairs Jan. 6

A portion of Orange Street will be closed for repairs for the month of January, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced. 

Orange Street between Highland Avenue and Rose Tree Road will close Jan. 6 and remained closed through the end of the month, PennDOT spokesperson Charles Metzger said. 

Crews will be replacing the expansion bands, which allow the bridge to contract and expand, on the Orange Street bridge over the Media Bypass, Metzger said.

PennDOT's suggested detour around the roadwork is Kirk Lane to Route 252 to Rose Tree Road.
