Powerball Ticket Worth $1M Sold in Bryn Mawr

The ticket matched five of the six winning numbers in the Christmas Day drawing.

Someone in the area is one million dollars richer this week.

A single ticket matching five of the six winning numbers in Powerball's Chirstmas Day drawing was sold in Bryn Mawr. The second-tier prize in the multi-state lottery is $1 million.

A single ticket matched all six numbers -- 23-28-38-39-56 and the red Powerball of 32 -- for jackpot prize of $71.5M. That ticket was purchased in Missouri.

The $1M ticket was purchased at the Sunoco at 775 W. Lancaster Ave. in Bryn Mawr. The retailer will receive $5,000 for selling a winning ticket.

The $1 million prize is subject to a 25% federal withholding, so the winner will walk away with $750,000 when all is said and done.
