Media's Bastille Day Celebration

Media Arts Council hosts the biggest 2nd Saturday of the year--Media's Bastille Day Celebration, scheduled for July 14, 2012, 6:00-10:30pm.  State Street in downtown Media will be closed to traffic and transformed into an arts-filled scene from history, featuring professional theater presentations, visual art displays, live music and dancing, children’s activities and crafts, and more.

Join us for a reenactment of the Storming of Bastille,
live music, and many street activities including strolling performers, plein air painters, tie dying, and ore.  Featured Main State performance is Zydeco-a-Go-Go.

M.A.C. celebrates Bastille Day as an historic event symbolic of the freedom that paved the way for, among other things, artistic expression. The Bastille Day celebration will offer attendees of all ages a unique experience filled with art, music and historical attractions. More than 40 businesses participate, along with numerous artists, musicians, and performers, community partners and non-profit organizations. This will be a memorable independence celebration for the entire family to enjoy.

Media's Bastille Day celebration is generously sponsored by LaBelle Epoque Wine Bistro, La Colombe, and our 2nd Saturday Presenting Sponsor, the Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union.
