Grab & Go Kids Planner: Frog Hunt, Soccer, Anne of Green Gables, Free Storytime

Signs of spring are everywhere: Tyler Arboretum is hosting a frog hunt, outdoor soccer is starting up again and children's sales are popping up left and right. At this time of year, drama companies are also finally presenting hard-practiced productions, so take advantage by seeing A Kidsummer Night's Dream and Anne of Green Gables.

A KIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM

Full of mischief and mayhem, misunderstanding and magic potion mix-ups, as kings and queens, humble workers, fairies, parents and kids all chase their dreams, the show will be enjoyed by children of all ages.

Why Go: Fall in love with impetuous, outspoken and delightful Anne once again as you follow her adventures straight from the pages of the beloved classic.

SOCCER SHOTS DEMO CLASS

Where/When: at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.
Why Go: Designed specifically for children age 3 through 8, this program teaches soccer skills using imagination and creative games. In learning the sport, kids also learn listening skills, fair play, habits of exercise and respect for others.
Pricing: Demo class is free; $66 for following 6-week session


OUTGROWN CHILDREN'S CLOTHING AND EQUIPMENT SALE

Where/When: Covenant United Methodist Church of Springfield from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.
Why Go: Stock up on gently used children's clothing, shoes, indoor and outdoor toys, games, sports equipment and more. Don't miss the sweets and treats table to reward any little ones tagging along.
