Alois: Tell Me Why People Are Taking My Yard Signs

Politics is not exactly a combat sport, but stealing an opponent's sign is getting close to physical. Tell me why you think people steal political yard signs.

By now the voters are probably tired of the forests of political signs along the roadways.  I had planned to put mine out one or two weeks before the election, but the Republicans were early birds with their signs this year (nervousness maybe?)  My wonderful volunteers just couldn’t resist putting mine out in response.  Now mine are disappearing. Long-time local pols warned me it would happen, but it still came as a surprise.

I have my theories about why the R’s are stealing the signs, but I would love to read yours.  Please write your ideas in the comments section below. Let’s keep it polite and maybe humorous!

Thanks!

Beth Alois is the Democratic Candidate for State Representative in the 168th District.  She is the voice of the voters this year, with her support of public schools, women’s health care rights and business initiatives that create jobs for Pennsylvanians. She has been endorsed by the Delaware County Daily Times. Her opponent is Tom Killion who has been consistently supporting Governor Corbett’s extremely conservative agenda, including cuts to public schools, favoring charter schools over public schools, the Mandatory Invasive Ultrasound Bill, and Act 13.
