The Pieces of Peace Project Mural Dedication

Community Arts Center, 414 Plush Mill Road, Wallingford, dedicates the first mural from the Pieces of Peace project by candlelight on Saturday, October 29th from 7:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Chester YWCA, 7th and Sproul Streets, Chester, PA.  The completed mural, which is quilt themed and includes the message, “Peace in our Hearts,” has been installed on the exterior wall of the Chester YWCA that faces Sproul Road.  The Peace in our Hearts mural is dedicated in the memory of Dr. Alonzo Cavin, a champion of the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King in the city of Chester, and an invaluable supporter of the work of Community Arts Center. This event is free and open to the public.  In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony moves inside the YWCA.
