Buddy's Burgers, Breasts and Fries Opens in June

A grand opening is anticipated for Media's newest burger joint the first week of June.

With two locations already established in Chester County, it was only a matter of time for Buddy's Burgers, Breasts and Fries  to expand its business to Delaware County.

"I'm a Delco kid," said Marc Boornazian, one of the three owners who grew up in Aston. "I know this area well and when this space opened up, we knew we had to move in."

, located on the corner of State and Orange streets in Media. Zac's closed in November 2012. Buddy's expects to open its doors to the public the first week of June.

A locally owned chain by three buddies—Boornazian, Sean Dannaker, and Bob Hewczuk—the first Buddy's Burgers, Breasts and Fries opened its doors in West Chester seven years ago.

The name Buddy's Burgers, Breasts and Fries came to fruition by chance. "We actually have a friend named Buddy and he jokingly suggested we name the place after him. We didn't want to, but it just flowed and worked out," said Dannaker.

The whole concept of Buddy's is to enjoy eating a burger with your buddy, said Boornazian. On the menu, a customer can order a "Buddy," which is two patties or even a "Little Buddy," which is one patty.

What makes Buddy's so great? All their food is made-to-order with fresh meat for their burgers, freshly cut Idaho potato fries and sweet potato fries, a variety of free toppings and, of course, their milkshakes made with milk and real ice cream. Buddy's is also known for its chicken breasts, which can be grilled or fried “southern-style” and topped with one of their many toppings.

The Chipotle Mayo and the Voodoo BBQ are easily one of the most popular toppings, said Dannaker. Buddy's also offers salads, turkey burgers, homemade chili, grilled cheese and a monthly milkshake special. Their most recent hand-dipped milkshake was a Tastykake Butterscotch Krimpet Shake.

Buddy’s anticipated restaurant hours are Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m.

Diners will also be able to enjoy Media’s-only freestyle Coca-Cola machine where you can mix and match 140 different types of soda flavors, outdoor dining, and flat-screen TVs which will play all the Phillies games.

Buddy's other locations are in West Chester and Exton.
