1. Bee Keeping

When/Where: Saturday, March 10 at 10 a.m. at Hillside Farm, 111 Elwyn Rd in Middletown

Why Go: This workshop includes topics like basic honeybee biology, races of bees, where to get bees, how to start a hive, new and used equipment, keeping bees in a residential setting, feeding, inspections, swarm control, disease and pest management and producing honey. Bee keeping knowledge of all levels is welcome and pre-registration is required.

Pricing: $10 for members, $15 for non-members.

 

2. 2nd Saturday Arts Stroll

When/Where:  Saturday, March 10 at 6 p.m. at , 101 W. State St in Media

Why Go:  Stroll the street, listen to music, shop and check out the featured artists Whitewater Pass, Provident and Randall J. Rook.

Pricing:  Free

 

3. Second Time Around Kids Consignment Sale

When/Where: Friday, March 9 from noon to 6 p.m. and Saturday, March 10 from 9 a.m to 2 p.m. at , 105 N Sproul Rd in Broomall

Why Go: Sales on kids clothes, toys and more. Do we need to say anything else?

4. Top Shelter Chef Contest

Where/When: Saturday, March 10 at 6 p.m. at , 901 Media Line Rd in Marple Township

Why Go: Five groups will serve up dishes and the attendees will vote to decide the winner. This fundraising event supports the Community Action Agency of Delaware County's shelters. 

Pricing: $25

 

5. Brotherly Love and SheWho Concert

Where/When: Saturday, March 10 at 7:30 p.m. at Unitarian Universalist Church of Delaware County, 145 W Rose Tree Rd in Media

Why Go: Brotherly Love, an ensemble of the Philadelphia Gay Men’s Chorus, sings a broad range of music, from sacred music to folk songs and newly commissioned works. SheWho, an acappella women's ensemble, promotes social change and justice, and respecting differences and the importance of loving women. Proceeds benefit the PRYSM Youth Center of Delaware County,
