Send Your Leftover Halloween Candy to the Troops

An Upper Providence dentist office is participating in Operation Gratitude's Halloween Candy Give-Back Program.

Halloween may be over but trick-or-treaters can bring their excess candy to Milunsky Family Dentistry in Upper Providence Township to send to troops overseas.

Dr. Jake Milunsky, from Milunsky Family Dentistry, is participating for the second time in Operation Gratitude’s Give-Back Program. In addition to reducing cavities for local children, this anti-decay movement donates excess candy to Operation Gratitude, which includes it in care packages along with hand-made scarves, mittens, socks, children’s thank you letters and other heartwarming items, and sends a package to each individual soldier, Marine or other member of our Armed Forces.

"Visiting your dentist twice a year and brushing daily are great preventive measures, but doing away with excess sweets would really give your teeth a healthy boost," says Milunsky. "Kids can still have all of the fun of trick-or-treating, and now they can feel good about donating some of their treats to those men and women abroad who are protecting our freedoms in this country."
