House Hunt: Custom Million Dollar Homes

This weekend there aren't many open houses in the area due to the holiday, so we branched out to local neighborhoods to see what was open outside of our immediate Patch areas.

There are 17 open houses scheduled for the weekend of September 1-2 in Media, Havertown, Springfield and Marple-Newtown, according to the listings on AOL Real Estate.

In Newtown Square, we continue to find the new community of custom homes behind Episcopal Academy dominating the open house circuit. There are five homes or lots open this weekend for open houses, they all boast a minimum of five bathrooms. At 2 Bridle Lane, which has seven bathrooms, is listed for $1,695,000.

In the Rose Tree Media School District, there are two open houses in the beautiful Brick House Farm Lane development. These homes boast four bedrooms, five baths and are listed at just over $1 million.
