Iron Hill Opens Patio with Luau Party

will celebrate the official opening of their outdoor patio with a festive Patio Opening Luau from 5 to 9 p.m. on Thursday.

Head Brewer Bob Barrar created a special chocolate-coconut Belgian single beer for the event, and a menu of island-centric snacks will be available on a pay-as-you-go basis.

"There’s nothing better than enjoying great craft beer outdoors, and each year we eagerly look forward to the opening of our patio,” says Barrar. “This year, we’re ringing in the new season in style with Hawaiian-themed eats and beer and of course, plenty of loud Hawaiian print shirts."

The patio opening luau menu will include: brown sugar roasted pork sandwiches with Hawaiian coleslaw on a soft bun; pineapple-marinated shrimp skewers with spicy orange dipping sauce; black bean and rice salad; sweet potato salad; and white chocolate-macadamia brownies with coconut topping.

Barrar’s chocolate-coconut Belgian single is brewed and aged on chocolate and roasted coconut chips, and is a perfect pairing for the Hawaiian dishes. In addition to the fun food and drink options, guests are urged to wear their brightest and most garish Hawaiian-print shirts and gear. The best and loudest attire will win prizes.
