My 3 Sons Serves Up First Hot Dogs

Media Borough's newest hot dog joint officially opened for business on Saturday.

The hot dogs are on their buns and My Three Sons Hot Dogs and Beer Emporium in Media Borough is officially open for business.

The doors to State Street's newest eatery opened Saturday afternoon and there was a steady stream of hungry people walking through the doors immediately.

Cindy and Carl Vairo, of Middletown, enjoyed the Jayhawker Dog and the vegan dog and both were delicious, the couple said.

My Three Sons Manager Mike Joslin said before noon on Saturday more than a dozen people had ordered the first dogs of the day.

Joslin said when Owner Steven Gariffo approached him with the concept for My Three Sons, he was immediately onboard.

"It's been a lot of hard work but I think it's going to be really successful," Joslin said. "It's going to be a lot of fun."

The My Three Sons namesakes, Luca, Matteo and Marcello, were also in attendance on Saturday and ready to help out (after they ate lunch of course).

Luca, 12, said he and his brother's helped with test tasting the hot dogs and root beers and picked their favorites.

Luca's picks for a perfect My Three Sons lunch is Boylan cream soda and the Trailer Dog.

My Three Sons, located at 300 W. State Street in Media, is open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday through Saturday.

This place was awful. There was a line out the door because no one was getting rung up and the cashier seemed barely apologetic. No prices were known for their beers and while I waited for it to be found out, my order had to wait to be put in as well. Oh and the beer alone ended up being $11. The kids meal I ordered did not come with a drink as said, and my "large" tater tots probably had literally 2 more than the kids menu small ones. Even the hot dogs... while the toppings were creative and good, the actual dogs were paltry. I mean it was mostly bun when you take away the toppings. Oh don't forget about the half hr wait for it all. I mean come on for cheap food like hot dogs and tater tots, you'd think you could spare a little more and not have to cause such a long wait. Overall, I was terribly disappointed at wasting my time and money there,

Wow --- what an opening!! And to think our Grand Opening (with the Mayor's Ribbon Cutting) will not be for a few weeks!! THANK YOU to everyone for your support and PATIENCE as we figure out our footing with this new venture!! I think I might have to get shirts made like they have at DiBruno Brothers in Philadelphia - - "I Survived the Line"!! Look for our Weekly Tastings of Beer and Monthly Hot Dog Rotations!! We will have our "Everybody's Hometown -- MEDIA" Hotdog in January to commemorate the Ribbon Cutting!! Thanks again for your enduring (and endearing) patience with our first day!! Yours in Service, Steven Gariffo --- the owner and father of My Three Sons (Luca, Matteo, and Marcello)!!
