Mother’s Day is upon us once again. It’s the time of year we celebrate our moms, grandmoms, mother figures, and all the women who have cared for and nurtured us throughout our lives. Whether buying her flowers, or treating her to a special lunch or dinner, Media Patch offers some ideas she is sure to enjoy. Don’t forget to make your reservations, as it will likely be a busy weekend all around.

The intimate State Street restaurant is offering Mother’s Day brunch, which will feature three courses, a Bloody Mary bar and live music. It’s $30 per person, and $10 for children 10 years old and under.

It’s regarded by Media diners as one of the best Sunday brunches in town. The menu includes a full bar, buffet and a la carte selections. There’s something for everyone, even the Sushi lovers. The price is $16 for adults, and $11 for kids 11 years old and under.

Charlotte’s Restaurant

The Newtown Square favorite will offer a special limited dinner menu that includes the most popular entrees, and traditional favorites, including ham, lamb and turkey.

Longwood Gardens

Spend the day strolling the gardens of Longwood and enjoying a full buffet, that includes meats, veggies, soups, salads and desserts. There are millions of spring bulbs blooming, such as tulips in a rainbow of color, pot marigolds and snapdragons. Also, through May 8, Longwood is hosting “Trees, Glorious Trees,” an exhibit that highlights the beauty and majesty of trees with fun activities for the whole family.

Chadds Ford Winery

Throughout the Mother’s Day weekend, all moms will receive a complimentary wine tasting at the winery. You can also buy your mom a beautiful hand-selected bunch of fresh flowers at the outdoor flower market. A "Spring Food" plate prepared by Joseph’s Catering, and also light picnic snacks to compliment a glass of wine, will be available.
