Restaurant Roundup: Campbell's Boat House to Baxter's

Patch reviews Campbell's Boat House, Hykel's Submarine Sandwich Bar, Flip and Bailey's Bar and Grill, Taj Indian Cuisine, Uno Chicago Grill, Bala Pizza, Brittingham's, Margaret Kuo's and Baxter's.

Looking for a good restaurant to go to this weekend?

Media Patch brought you the details of  Thursday. The steamed clams and crab legs were an amazing start to our meal. My cold beer was the perfect pairing to the savory ocean bounty although I was less impressed with the fish and chips. Click  for the review.

If that restaurant isn’t to your liking, check out other area restaurants that Patch reviewed this week:

A truly wonderful crock of French onion soup and upside down hoagies await you at this local haunt. The chef always adds a little love to his food and it shows. Click for the review.

A true neighborhood spot with a killer cheeseburger and $2 Rolling Rocks, this is my kind of place. The Cobb salad was a great source of protein even if the eggs didn’t look so hot. Click for the review.

An all you can eat Indian buffet complete with chai, dessert and freshly baked naan, this place offers you the most bang for your buck. The saag paneer and chana masala were delightful vegetarian options. Click for the review.

Whether you dig deep dish or thin crust pizza, you can find it here. My own vote is for the “numero uno” pizza although the fig, goat cheese and broccoli pizza can hold its own as well. Click for the review.

The Bala Special pizza is one of the greatest things you can eat in Bala Cynwyd. It’s got everything you could possibly want including beef, pepperoni, mushrooms, sausage, onions, peppers and olives. Find out more about the man behind the menu, click for the Meet the Owner.

The service is a bit lackluster but this could be a fun place to watch the Eagles, Phililes or Flyers. The Irish potato skins definitely hit the spot as does the prime rib melt. Click for the review.

Tasty Chinese and Japanese delights abound at this upscale restaurant. Stop in for some General Tso’s chicken, uni, edamame or just have it all. Click for the review.

The lamb chops are the star of the show here while other menu items pale in comparison. The bottomless bloody Mary Sunday brunch does sound fantastic though. Click for the review.
