Citrin Cooperman, an accounting, tax, and business consulting firm in Philadelphia, recently helped sponsor the 2nd Annual DelcoWAR Race for Victims’ Rights 5K run/walk. The race on Sept. 22, 2013 benefited Delaware County Women Against Rape, a private, nonprofit organization that offers community awareness programs and direct services to victims of sexual assaults.
The race took place at Rose Tree Park in Media and was kicked off by Jack Whelan, Delaware County District Attorney. Runners and attendees enjoyed refreshments, prizes and balloon art by a children’s entertainer. U.S. Rep. Pat Meehan (R-7) also attended the fundraiser.
Citrin Cooperman Managing Partner, Mark Carrow, CPA, MS, participated in the race along with 10 other employees of the firm.
“We are honored to support Delaware County Women Against Rape and the organization’s mission to assist crime victims in our area,” said Carrow. “We think it's important to help generate community awareness of this important issue.”
