Stephen Castellano Brings 25 Years of Business Experience to New Business, Caring Transitions of Media, PA

Media, PA – With 25 years of business management experience and a long history of giving back to his community, Stephen Castellano is taking the next step and launching a business dedicated to helping people through often difficult life transitions, Caring Transitions of Media, Pennsylvania.

“At Caring Transitions, we’re committed to helping clients work through what can be a very difficult time. Transitioning between homes, downsizing or cleaning out an estate when someone has passed is often extremely stressful. We are here to take on that burden so you can focus on the needs of your family,” Castellano said.

Before he launched his Caring Transitions franchise, Castellano, a father of two with an MBA, worked as the executive director of corporate business services for Elwyn, a large non-profit serving individuals with disabilities. He’s also volunteered and worked with various non-profits throughout his life and co-created Horizons at the University of Scranton, a student-run organization that planned student supervised social and adventurous events for underprivileged children.

“This synergy of entrepreneurship and helping the community came full circle when I was offered a job at Elywn and was able to apply business principals to the agency. I oversaw a long-term care pharmacy serving both Elwyn clients as well as local nursing homes and assisted living facilities. I also helped build a commercial laundry business, operated by employees with disabilities that served hospitals and nursing homes in the greater Philadelphia area. When my role in those projects came to an end I started looking for a new opportunity that combined a solid business model with my passion for helping others. That’s how I found Caring Transitions,” Castellano said.

“Once I’m working for you, I’m truly your advocate. I am here to make sure my clients are cared for in the best way possible, even if that’s not something that has a benefit for me. For example, if the best path is to age in place, then that’s what I’d recommend and help them with. Of course that means you won’t need moving services, but that’s OK,” he added. “I want my customers to be satisfied. That’s a win-win for everyone.”

Castellano is a Certified Relocation and Transition Specialist, a designation bestowed by an independent organization that evaluates providers of senior relocation services. All Caring Transitions owners and employees are trained, bonded and insured. This new franchise will bring several new jobs to the area as the business grows. Castellano is a member of the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce and Middletown Township Business and Professional, Association.

Founded in 2006, Caring Transitions has been a trusted and highly respected national company leading the way in senior relocation, household liquidations and estate sale management in more than 130 locations across the United States.
