Aug. 9—The three archers (Miranda, Jake and Jacob) that are left here went to practice at SCORE, which was indoors. Jake is practicing for the World Field Championship, which he is leaving from here to go to France. We also tried our hand at volleyball. Lets put it this way, won’t give up our day job. Had a whole lot of fun and laughs. Came back to the OV and just chilled out until it was time to go to Diving/Women’s 10m platform finals. Miranda and I climbed a lot of stairs, 43 steps up to the stadium and then another 96 to our seats. With all the walking and stairs I’ve been climbing I better be losing some weight.

Aug. 10—Took off from training today. Miranda had a 9:30 a.m. interview. It lasted about a half hour. Then came back to the village to get ready to head over to the TODAY Show taping. Miranda and Jacob rode on the double deck bus as it pulled up to the stage of the show.  They all got off and said goodbye to LONDON. It won’t be long now until we are all home. Tried to get into the BMX stadium but couldn’t, so we all went to the P&G house to eat and then to the Men’s Basketball game. It was a fun night.

Aug. 11—Went to practice for about two hours and then packed up all the equipment to head home. Only two more days and we get to go home. We all got tickets to the Women’s gold medal game in Volleyball. Unfortunately, it was a disappointing game, USA came in 2nd. After the game we all went to the USA House to eat. The USA House is a place to hang out with friends and family too.  It is really neat when one of our own wins for we all stand up and watch and listen to the National Anthem on big screen TVs. It is like you are there in person.

Well, that is all for now.
