Enter Raffle to Win PPL Park Suite for Sept. 14 Game

County Council donates suite for Delaware County Library Foundation fundraiser

Use of a PPL Park suite for the September 14 Philadelphia Union game is the grand prize in a raffle being held now through July 19 to benefit libraries and their patrons throughout Delaware County.

One lucky winner will receive 14 tickets for a private suite and four VIP parking passes to the 7:30 p.m. Sept. 14 Union game against the Houston Dynamo at PPL Park in Chester.  The price of chances is one for $5 or three for $10.

The suite is located at the eastern end of the stadium, with an excellent view of the Delaware River, and proximity to the Sons of Ben fan section.

Proceeds from the raffle will benefit the Library Foundation of Delaware County. The Library Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit with a mission of supporting public library programs in cooperation with the Delaware County Library System (DCLS).  People can learn more about the foundation and make a tax deductible donation by visiting www.supportdelcolibraries.org.

Deadline to purchase raffle tickets is July 19.  The winner will be drawn at the July 31 Delaware County Council meeting.

Raffle tickets are available at 15 DCLS member libraries and online. Purchase chances online at the Library  Foundation web site: www.supportdelcolibraries.org. Participating libraries are Helen Kate Furness (Wallingford), Haverford, Marple, Media-Upper Providence,  Middletown, Prospect Park, Rachel Kohl (Glen Mills), Ridley Park, Ridley Township, Springfield,  Swarthmore, Tinicum, Upper Darby-Sellers, Upper Darby-Municipal, and Upper Darby-Primos.

Delaware County Councilman John McBlain, Council’s liaison to DCLS, said County Council provides a limited number of tickets to events at PPL Park to non-profit organizations that serve the community.
