County Council Commends Office of Support Representation on its 25th anniversary

            Delaware County Council commended the Office of Support Representation for 25 years of collecting child support payments and providing legal representation to assure that financial obligations for children in Delaware County are paid.  The office was established in 1988 by County Council in conjunction with the District Attorney’s Office after a recommendation by the Delaware County Women’s Commission.

            Councilman John P. McBlain introduced a resolution at the July 31 County Council meeting which was presented to (from left) attorney Rob DeLong, paralegal Sheri Richards, Angela Martinez, the first Chief Counsel for the department and current Director of the Delaware County Office of Judicial Support, District Attorney Jack Whelan, McBlain, Daniel Van Wyk, Chief Counsel for Support Representation, Mimi Walker, Director of Domestic Relations, staff attorneys Mary Tull and Mindy Harris, Office Manager Ethel Jaworsky and staff attorney Josh Waterston.

            Joining in the presentation were (2nd row, from left) Councilman David J. White, Council Chairman Thomas J. McGarrigle, Council Vice Chairman Mario J. Civera Jr. and Councilwoman Colleen P. Morrone.
