Hundreds "Present Arms" For Flu Shots

Delaware County Council is pleased to announce that 808 Delaware County children and adults received their annual flu vaccination at a drive-through flu shot clinic held Oct. 4 at the Tinicum Township firehouse in Essington. The clinic was organized by the Pennsylvania Department of Health in partnership with County Council, the county Department of Intercommunity Health and the Delaware County Flu Task Force. Waiting to get her vaccination is Betsy Smeltzer, left, of Essington being greeted by Councilman David J. White and Denise Gallagher, a volunteer from the county Office of Services for the Aging (COSA). Information on flu prevention and ongoing flu shot clinics is posted on the county website at www.co.delaware.pa.us.
