Miracles happen at Summer Festival

Delaware County Summer Festival patrons were treated to two free concerts on July 25 when the Media Theatre State Street Miracles opened for Upper Darby rock and roll pioneer Charlie Gracie. Before they took the stage, Gracie visited with the Miracles, a troupe of performers who have intellectual disabilities. The Miracles were introduced by Delaware County Council Vice Chairman Mario J. Civera Jr., center, and Councilman Dave White, right. Members of the Miracles are, from left, Kim Watson of Middletown, Director Roger Ricker, Jennifer Klapinsky and Kimiko Iizuka, both of Middletown, MaryJo D’Allesandro and Patrick Clark, both of Springfield, Ted Harris of Upper Providence, Brian Short and Jake Spencer of Middletown. The Rose Tree Summer Festival runs through Aug. 18. For a schedule, visit www.co.delaware.pa.us.
