260 Dogs Microchipped at County Clinic

Delaware County Council partnered with the Delaware County Kennel Club to protect dogs with microchips and lifetime dog licenses.

Dogs of all breeds, shapes and sizes, and even two dogs rescued from Afghanistan, were treated to double safety protection when they received microchips and lifetime dog licenses at a clinic held recently at Rose Tree Park in Upper Providence Township.

Delaware County Council partnered with the Delaware County Kennel Club to provide free microchips at the event.

Kennel Club member Marge Remolde, who had her black Labrador puppy, Blitzen, microchipped at the clinic, said 260 dogs received chips at the April 6 event. Of those, 103 secured their lifetime license at the clinic, while others plan to follow-up by mailing their application to the Treasurer’s Office, according to a Delaware County Council press release.
