Last Chance: Siblings Day, Photo Contests, Dog Licenses

We've seen hundreds of events come and go in the community, but how often does one pass you by that you wish you hadn't missed out on? That's where we come in. Each week Media Patch will post a quick reminder about the events, activities or important tasks whose deadlines have come.

When: Tuesday, April 10, at 5:30 p.m., at

What: Celebrate your siblings at this buffet dinner. Cost is $20. Special sibling speakers both with and without disabilities will share their experiences.

When: Wednesday, April 11, from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Tomezsko Classroom Building lounge at campus.

What: In honor of campus founder and CEO John D. Vairo, who passed away in January, the school will host a memorial for all those who wish to remember his life and legacy.

When: Monday, April 16, at 9 a.m.

What: Upload those photos now in Patch's Biggest Sports Fan contest. You have until 9 a.m. on Monday to submit your fan photos for a chance to win $240 Stubhub tickets to use towards a future game.

When: April 13 and 14

What: The in collaboration with and will sponsor the 4th annual Poem in Your Pocket all week. And on April 13 and 14, people can read poems in businesses in Media in exchange for a small treat like a coupon or a buy-one-get-one-free item. The participating businesses will have Poem in Your Pocket fliers posted.

Delaware County's Dog License and Microchip Clinic

When: Saturday, April 14, from 9 a.m. to noon in the maintenance Building adjacent to the Hunt Club at .

What: Delaware County Council is partnering with the Delaware County Kennel Club to provide free microchips to any Delaware County dog. This is a first-come, first served event, while supplies last.

Free Student Immunization Clinics

When: April 9 through 13, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., at the Delaware County State Health Center, 151 W. Fifth Street, Suite 1, in Chester

What: The Delaware County Department of Intercommunity Health hosts a free immunization clinic for  all school-age county children.

When: Submit photos by Saturday, April 14

What: Submit photos of Media depicting why it's a "classic town." The DVRPC will award $100 for the top image in each category. A $500 judge’s choice prize and $300 voter’s choice prize will also be awarded.
