Media Farmers Market Kicks Off Season on Thursday

Enjoy Media Farmers Market every Thursday through November.

The Media Farmers Market, a weekly market offering a wide range of fruits, vegetables, snacks, specialty foods, coffee and more, will start its 2012 season on Thursday.

The market is located in the parking lot of the at State and Gayley streets from 3 to 7 p.m. every Thursday through November.

Just a few of the 2012 season's vendors include: A Sweet Mess, offering cakes, cupcakes and whoopee pies; Burlap and Bean, offering organic, fair-trade coffee by the pound and iced coffee; Birchrun Hills Farm, offering beef, pork, artisanal cheeses; Great Harvest Bread Company, offering whole grain and freshly-baked breads; Hillside Farm, offering organic vegetables and flowers; Mushrooms, offering buttons, crimini, portabellas, shiitake and mushroom soup; My House Cookies, offering baked goods, cakes, pies and cookies; Q’s Cue, offering barbecue sauce; and Soaps Garden, offering soaps.
