Ridley Creek State Park Will Close Dec. 1 and 8
The entire park will be closed to the public both days for deer hunting.

Due to the number of white-tailed deer in Ridley Creek State Park and in an effort to increase the ecological diversity of the park, a regulated deer hunt will be conducted on December 1, 2011 and on December 8, 2011 for antlered and antlerless deer by PERMIT ONLY.
To ensure the safety of all park visitors, ALL of Ridley Creek State Park will be CLOSED on these dates to all activities.

The Delaware County Daily Times reports, that 82 deer were killed in the first day of the deer hunt and 54 were killed on the second day.
