Road Paving Schedule for Media Borough

Media Borough Council also offered up its thanks to all those involved with Hurricane Sandy preparations and her aftermath.

Media Borough Council announced the next round of roadwork in the borough and also thanked all of those involved with preparing for and executing plans during Superstorm Sandy.

Numerous borough personnel members were thanked at Thursday's council meeting including Media Borough Manager Jeff Smith and the entire Administrative Office, Code Enforcement Director Jim Jeffery, Emergency Management Crews, Public Works Director Ralph DeRosa and the entire Public Works Department, Media Borough Police, Fire and EMS crews, PECO and the Shade Tree Commission for its ongoing efforts of cutting and trimming trees.

Councilman Paul Robinson said Smith and his team were proactive not reactive to the storm and were able to field hundreds of resident calls and prepare for the worst.

Council President Brian Hall said the borough was fortunate that it did not sustain any substantial damage but the downed trees and power outages that did occur were handled very well.
