There isn't always time to sit down and read the news. So in case you missed any of the week's stories, here's a look at what happened in the greater Media area in the past seven days.

This week, we wrapped up the unofficial end to summer and got you ready for back to school. We told you about a few new principals and teachers coming to Rose Tree Media. We gave you a sneak peek of the new, temporary Media Elementary School. We told you when area swim clubs close for the season and gave you a list of what's open and closed over the Labor Day holiday. Friday, Aug. 31

The former Nativity BVM School has transformed into a temporary Media Elementary School.

The Pennsylvania State Police will step up its traffic enforcement in Delaware County over the Labor Day holiday weekend.

Taylor Farms New Jersey products are being pulled from some area stores.

This weekend there aren't many open houses in the area due to the holiday, so we branched out to local neighborhoods to see what was open outside of our immediate Patch areas.

This Tortoiseshell cat named Mini is available for adoption at the Delaware County SPCA.

Tuesday, Aug, 28

The setback will be reduced from 200 feet to an "average" 80-foot buffer.

Jocelyn Murphy, 29, of Edgmont, was sentenced to three years of probation on Aug. 20.
