There isn't always time to sit down and read the news. So in case you missed any of the week's stories. Here's a look at what happened in the greater Media area over the course of the week. Media revved its engine at the car show on Sunday. A fire destroyed a vacant house in Middletown and another fire in Upper Providence was caused by a down tree and wires. Sadly, lightning contributed to a man's death in Middletown. The medical examiner said heart problems co-occuring during an electrical storm were factors in his death since he could find no direct evidence of a lightning strike on the man's body. The whole country has seen triple-digit temperatures and Media saw a heat index of 110 on Friday. The County Courthouse's air conditioning broke this week and employees were not happy about it. Check out these stories below and more to get a full recap of all the week's news.
