Brianna Jaffe to sing National Anthem

On Saturday, July 13th, the Boston Whitecaps and the San Francisco Dogfish will meet at Philadelphia’s historic Franklin Field to face off for the Major League Ultimate Championship. The best players in the country will showcase huge throws, amazing layouts and aggressive defensive bids in an effort to capture Ultimate Frisbee’s most prestigious prize

The Championship will feature a variety of local Philadelphia talent in addition to the athletes on the field, including Philly personality Mr Hollywood, DJ J5, the renowned Fralinger String Band mummer troupe and 11-year-old vocalist and musician Brianna Jaffe who will sing the National Anthem.

Brianna Jaffe is a multitalented singer/musician/actress hailing from Media, PA. She is currently fronting local Rock band, UpFront and will be performing at Philadelphia's Bloktoberfest this October. A top 10 finalist in the 2011 Delco Idol Junior singing competition at the Media Theater, Brianna has also been selected to participate in the summers singing competition, the Vocalist Junior. She has also been a featured performer in several productions at the Media Theater, including principal roles as Kate in Annie, starring Wanda Sykes, and Marta in the Sound of Music. One of the Highlights of her career was singing the National Anthem before the Philadelphia Spinners-Connecticut Constitution match on June 24, 2012 at Franklin Field.
