Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service - "Pieces of Peace"

The MLK Commemorative Committee of Chester & Vicinity invites you and your family to join other Chester & Vicinity residents in remembering Dr. King and his legacy on Monday, Jan. 20 at the Boys & Girls Club of Chester 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. This service-focused free event will include fun activities for all ages including a mural project, creation of care packages for those in need in Delco, arts & crafts, educational sessions, physical therapy clinic, with health & wellness resources, and lots of community spirit! No RSVP is necessary.

Following this event, at the Boys & Girls Club, the 'Day of Service' activities will move to the Crozer-Chester Medical Center at 1 p.m. for a ceremonial wreath laying at Old Main where Dr. Martin Luther King studied when he was in the Crozer Theological Seminary. The activities will conclude with an event at the Clark Auditorium at 2 p.m. on the Crozer Campus featuring a presentation from Rev. Dr. Clifford Johnson of the Shiloh Baptist Church in Wilmington, DE.
