Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Observance and Day of Service Poster Contest

Values
into Action, a service organization providing support to individuals living
with intellectual disabilities, in collaboration with Media Elementary School,
and support from Starbucks in Media and the Media Fair Trade Committee, is
hosting 15 MES students, and some of the individuals we support to create
posters honoring Dr. King’s legacy and inspiring young people to engage in
service.

Posters will be displayed in the Values into Action offices for three
weeks and then sent for entry into the national Scholastic MLK Day poster competition
(http://www.scholastic.com/MLKDay/pdfs/MLK_Day_2013-Self_mailer.pdf).

A
celebration of Dr. King’s inspiring work and legacy, and the collaboration of
elementary school students and adult individuals living with intellectual
disabilities, a historically and often still disenfranchised group.
